This privacy policy explains how the Dynamic Whip Cursor Chrome extension ("the Extension") collects, uses, and protects your information.

Data we store locally

The extension uses chrome.storage.local to keep the following data on your device:

• Toggle states (sound, cursor, counter)
• Selected whip style and its configuration (length, gravity, friction)
• Snap counter statistics (total snaps, per-site stats)
• Blacklist of domains you have chosen to disable the extension on

All this data stays on your computer and is never transmitted to any remote server.

External resources

The only external link used by the extension is this privacy page itself, hosted at https://www.makestuff.it/whip-privacy.html. No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services are employed.

Permissions

The extension requires the following Chrome permissions:

• storage - to keep your preferences and statistics.
• offscreen - to play synthesized audio without being blocked by page CSP.
• tabs - to read the current URL for blacklist handling.
• <all_urls> - so the content script can run on any site you visit.

These permissions are limited to the functionality described above and do not grant access to any of your personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date will be indicated at the top of the page. Continued use of the extension after changes implies acceptance of the updated terms.
